During the scan, you will lie on a table that moves through the CT scanner. You may be asked to hold your breath briefly to ensure clear images. If a contrast injection is needed, our team will administer it before the scan begins.
The scanning process itself takes only a few minutes, though you may need to remain on the scanner table for 5 to 20 minutes. If contrast or additional preparation is required, you may need to arrive up to an hour before your scheduled appointment.
Once the scan is complete, our radiologist will review the images and provide a detailed report to your referring doctor. Results are typically available on the same day or the next working day, allowing for a prompt follow-up with your healthcare provider.
