Specialised Obstetric and Gynaecological Imaging
Request Callback Call NowObstetric and gynaecological ultrasounds provide a safe, non-invasive way to monitor pregnancy and assess women’s reproductive health. Using high-resolution ultrasound technology, these scans help your healthcare provider evaluate fetal development, diagnose potential concerns, and support ongoing care during all stages of pregnancy and beyond.
Preparing for Your Appointment
Please bring your referral letter and Medicare card (if applicable). If you have previous pregnancy scans, reports, or relevant medical history, these can assist our specialists in providing the most accurate assessment. Depending on the type of scan, you may be asked to arrive with a full bladder—our team will advise you at the time of booking.
What to Expect
A trained sonographer will guide you through the scan, explaining each step and ensuring you are comfortable throughout. Ultrasound gel is applied to the area being examined, and a handheld probe is used to capture images in real time. Some scans may require a transvaginal approach, which your sonographer will explain if necessary.
How Long Does It Take?
Most scans take between 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the stage of pregnancy and the type of examination.
